While reading last month's Food and Wine magazine, I was intrigued by a blurb about Playa Vik Jose Ignacio, an eco-friendly hotel in Uruguay with a focus on modern art. The hotel's collection includes a painting by Anselm Keifer in the dining room, Shoji doors, Zaha Hadid's Stalactite table, a light installation by James Turrell and more. While their website isn't completely finished, my armchair traveling did result in some design inspiration.
